More Family

Hudson has finally met all of his aunts and uncles. My brother Michael, Uncle Woody, came in town this weekend to meet his nephew. Michael just missed Hudson's birth by hours. He was flying back to college the day that Hudson was born. Uncle Woody brought Hudson and cute little bear wearing a sweatshirt from his college, Yale. Hudson loves his bear--and maybe it will make him smarter! :) Can't wait to see you again Uncle Woody!

Lifesaver!

Funny Story...

When I was pregnant, Nate and I went to Babies R Us to register for baby items. One thing that my mom told me to register for was a baby swing. She told me it would be a lifesaver. Well...I talked to a few people and the store clerk(a teenage girl) and everyone said not to get a swing, but to get a bouncer. So I ignored my moms advice(a lady who has had 3 kids) and took the advice of the teenage store clerk and did not get a swing. After a couple of nights of listening to Hudson's nighttime fussiness(actually they were screams) and walking around the whole house for hours bouncing and rocking him, Nate and I decided to go and get a swing. So, one night when Hudson was extremely fussy--Nate, Emily, Ben and I loaded up our trailblazer and went to Babies R Us to get a swing. We all were so flustered by Hudson's screams that we all forgot about Emily and Ben's rent car that was parked behind our trailblazer. So as we were backing out of the driveway Nate took out the rent car! We did get to Babies R Us that night and found a swing. Hudson loves his swing and his nighttime fussiness is not as long and not as bad anymore!

So, the moral of the story--Mom does know best! Everything could have been avoided if I had just listened to my mom--when will I learn!! :)

One Month Old

Hudson is now a month old! He has really changed in the past month. He has begun to fill out, he is no longer a skinny little thing. He has cute chubby cheeks and has got a "milk gut"! He went to the doctor this week to get some of his shots, and the nurse weighed him and he is now 10 pounds and 1 ounce! His birth weight was 6 lbs. 15 oz., so needless to say he is a growing boy. He now recognizes Nate and I's voice and will smile sometimes when we talk to him. He is so precious and is growing so fast! However, he has not slept through the night--Nate and I are hoping that happens soon! :)

Nate's Family

It has been really fun the past couple of weeks. We have had Nate's parents, his sister-Emily and her fiance-Ben, Nate's brother Nick and his wife Jenni come and visit Hudson. Nate and I have loved having family in and having help!!

Aye, Aye Captin

Today Hudson, Nate, Nana Sue, Grandpa and I all went to Galveston. We walked around The Strand and had a good day. Here are some pictures of Hudson in his cute sailor outfit.

Three Weeks Old

Hudson is now three weeks old today! He has changed so much in the past couple of weeks. He has really filled out and is starting to hold his head up. Both his grandparents were able to come over and see him.

Bath Time

Now we are able to give Hudson his baths in a tub. He likes this a lot more. His Nana Sue and Grandpa from Michigan came to visit him and helped Nate and I give him a bath.

Play Time

Hudson is starting to be more awake during the day, so we have been having more time to play with him. He is starting to lift his head and it is fun to watch. He loves his little Einstein mat.

Hudson's First Easter

We celebrated Easter at Nana and Pappy's house. This was Hudson's first holiday! He got two baskets from the Easter bunny and got to wear his cute Easter Bunny ears, shoes and bib. He looked very cute. Buster was a little jealous that Hudson was getting all of Pappy's attention, so he decided to jump up into Pappy's lap to get noticed! :) Hudson is also trying to hold his head up--he did it a couple of times while we were at Nana and Pappy's!

Family Visits Hudson

Hudson had more family come and visit him. His Grand "G" and Big T came to see him and see how he has grown. When Hudson went to the doctor he had gained about 11 ounces and grew 2 inches! He is really starting to change and fill out! Nate and I enjoy watching him grow! Here are some pictures with his family!

First Night Out!

Nate and I went out to dinner on Wednesday. It was our first date since Hudson was born. Nana and Pappy came over to babysit for us. We went to Saltgrass Steak House and we had a lot of fun, but we were ready to get home to see Hudson!

Need Sleep!

Nate and I have begun to realize how important it is to get in a nap while Hudson is taking a nap. Nate is a little better at it than me!!!

First Outing

Today Nate and I took Hudson for his first outing. Nate, Buster, Hudson and I went on a walk around our neighborhood. Hudson slept the whole walk!

One Week Old!

Yesterday Hudson was one week old. It was hard for Nate and I to believe that a week ago we were just checking into the hospital. We feel like he has changed so much in a week! We have really enjoyed this past week! Here are some pictures of Hudson with his Dad, Nana, Pappy and Aunt Ashley.
