"Mommy, we go on airplane!"

Imagine that sentence being yelled a million times in one minute.  To say Hudson was excited about riding on the airplane would be an understatement!  He really enjoyed having his own seat and even getting to buckle up.  He did great on flight except the last 15 minutes when he had to get back in the seat and buckle up for landing.  He was not happy with the pilot!
Here are some pictures in the plane.
Side note--you will have to excuse my big belly that are in all the pictures! :)

Beach Day

On Wednesday Hudson got to spend the day with his friends Marlie and Isabella at the beach in Galveston.  My friend Jenny's family rented a beach house and she invited us to come down and hang out one day.  So Sandra and I took Isabella and Hudson there for the day.  Hudson loved digging in the sand, running around and playing in the waves.  He kept calling it the "pool"!  He played so hard that he played straight through his nap and lunch time.  We had a great day and can't wait to do it again soon!

Father's Day

We had a great day today celebrating Father's Day.  Hudson and I let Nate sleep in this morning and we also gave him a chance to take a nap later today.  For lunch we went over to my parents and had a great meal and dessert.  When we got to my parents my sister had set up a tent in the backyard for Hudson to play in.  He loved it!  Later that day we went to visit Ben and Emily for a while and then came home.
Tonight Nate hung up a picture in Hudson's new room and as soon as Nate started hammering Hudson ran out of the room.  We both heard a loud crash and then Hudson came back with his hammer and work bench!  He climbed on the bed and started helping his daddy--it was too cute!
Hudson wants to be like his daddy which I think it wonderful!

Dancing

Here is Hudson dancing to some zydeco music in one of the stores on Bourbon Street.
I guess his cajun roots are coming out!

New Orleans

We recently got back from our weekend trip to New Orleans.  We met most of Nate's family there and we stayed in a house in the Garden District.  We had a lot of fun seeing the sights of the French Quarter and we made sure to make it down Bourbon Street(which was interesting).  It was a great weekend to hang out with family and enjoy the city!

Starting the day right with daiquiris and shots on Bourbon Street!

It think I was the only sober one the whole weekend! :)

Enjoying  beignets at Cafe Du Monde!

Checking out the Mississippi River.
It was crazy to see how far below sea level the city is!

Hudson had a long day.  We were so
glad that he was finally sleeping!

More New Orleans

Here are more pictures from our weekend in New Orleans.

Our trip home on the trolley.  Hudson called it a train and
would cry when he had to get off.  He loved the ride!

The Guys

Nate and I on Royal Street.  There was a lot of antique shops on this
street which was more my thing.

Grandma babysat Hudson for the day and the kids all went out to the French Quarter.  We ate lunch at Pat Brien's.  They are known for their drink the Hurricane.  Nate and Emily seemed to REALLY enjoy them!

Nate said he sleeps like me but I thought...

He really sleeps like his Aunt Emily!

We had a great weekend hanging out with family!
