Michigan Trip Part One

Nate, Hudson and I are back from Michigan. We were busy the whole time. We had the chance to see a lot of family and friends and do lots of things as a family. We have so many pictures of our time there that I am going to have to do them in two different post.
Enjoy!

The Beach:
Hudson enjoyed the water. The water was cold so he only got his feet wet. He would run down to the water to Nate and then back to the shore to me. He wore himself out!! Here are some pictures at the beach in Holland.
Running back to mommy

Playing in the sand

The next three pictures I just love! I think he looks so cute. I know I am his mom, but just look at him!

What a cutie!!!

Cuttlerville Days:

I have never had the chance to experience Cuttlerville Days. It is a big celebration that Nate's hometown has in June. We got to go to the parade with the VanderHeide's and Nate's family. Hudson loved it!

Viva Cuttlerville!!!

John Ball Zoo:

One day we met Grandma for lunch and after lunch we decided to take Hudson to the John Ball Zoo. He loved looking at all the animals, but his favorite was the petting zoo. He loved grabbing the goats and the cow.

Growling like a bear!

Loving the goats!

The wolverine never came out so this was the only way we could take a picture with one.

The Zoo's Namesake! Nate said he took a lot of pictures by this statue when he was a kid!

Hope you enjoyed--round two will be coming soon!

Playing Catch-Up!

Well, most of my family has given me a hard time about the lack of blog entries since Hudson turned one. I just tell them that I don't want my baby boy to grow up!! Well, I feel like it is time to catch everyone up with what has been going on with the Holtvluwer family--that is if you even check our blog anymore!!

Here is the run-down: (month by month)

April:
Hudson learns he likes ketchup!
Hudson learns to eat with a spoon--we are still working on this one!

Hudson gets a wagon and
learns he loves football (we start them early here in Texas)!

Hudson learns how to play hide and seek--again still learning!

May:

Hudson wears a cowboy hat! Yee Haw!!!

Hudson gets a haircut!

Still getting a haircut!

Hudson goes for a ride in his new favorite toy.
He is pointing to his other favorite toy, his football, which he threw in the street.

Grandpa comes to visit!

Hudson gets a new pet--a crawfish!!

He had fun with his new friend until Uncle Woody stepped on it

Well, that about sums up April and May!! We just got back from Michigan so given me another two months and I will post those too! No, not really!! I will try this week to post some pictures from our trip! Have a great day!

Hudson turns one!!!!

Well, my little baby is no longer a baby. He is now a little boy. Hudson celebrated his first birthday on the 25th of March. We had a family get together on that day(see pictures at the bottom), then on the 29th we had a party for Hudson with friends and family at the park. It was a lot of fun. The first year flew by and it seems to get more fun by the day. Hudson is a cute little boy who loves to be outdoors, loves balls, loves Buster (feelings may not be mutual), loves food, loves walking, loves giving kisses and loves his mommy and daddy.
Hudson has brought Nate and I so much joy the past year. Our lives have been completely turned upside down and we love every minute of it. We have enjoyed watching him grow up and change right before our eyes. We love him more than we could ever imagine and we can't wait to see what one more year brings!

Long time no blog...

Sorry about the long gap in between entries. We have been very busy with Hudson, visitors coming in and just life in general. Hudson is now one and had his first birthday party at the park. Hudson was also dedicated at church this past week. I will have to do these post another day, because it is getting late and I have to go to work tomorrow.
I did post some pictures of our spring break and Easter week. We had visitors from Michigan in town during this time and it was very fun. We kept them busy! We went to San Antonio to visit the Riverwalk, Alamo and Sea World. We also took them around the Houston area to visit different places. Well, enjoy the new post! More new ones to come!

Easter

This was Hudson's second Easter. We had a great day! We were able to celebrate this holiday with family and friends. It was so fun! Hudson still did not have a clue what was going on, but he did like searching for eggs and putting them in his mouth.

Yeah!!! We found one!
